World Laboratory Animal Liberation Week is April 21 to April 29. According to Stop Animal Exploitation Now (SAEN): "Over 20,000,000 million animals suffer and die in U.S. laboratories every year. These innocent victims are subjected to addictive drugs, caustic chemicals, ionizing radiation, chemical and biological weapons, electric shock, deprivation of food and/or water, psychological torture and many other horrors."

Executive Director of SAEN, Michael Budkie, and his team work tirelessly to investigate the ongoing cruelty at university and other animal labs. As members of the Prayer Circle for Animals, we can add our powerful prayers. The animals need our prayers of comfort as they endure some of the most abominable and sadistic torture human beings can devise. The experimenters need our prayers for awakening to the horror of what they are doing. May they look into the eyes of those they torment and suddenly awaken to the Divine looking back at them. The public needs our prayers that they may come to understand during this educational week that animal experiments not only harm animals but people as well. May all human beings open their hearts and finally see-animals are not ours to use, experiment upon, and discard as if they were things.

May all humanity see the truth-that these scarred and tortured animals are innocent, sacred, and holy brothers and sisters of ours. May the power and the beauty of the words--World Laboratory Animal Liberation Week-lead to true liberation for all.

May all beings, including all people, be happy and free.
