First of all I want to congratulate Will. His book, The World Peace Diet is listed as one of the "12 books that have changed veganism" in the August, 2012, issue of VegNews Magazine. As we all know, Will and Madeleine travel non-stop spreading the vegan vision, and Will's book and their talks and workshops are changing more hearts every day.

Next is a reminder that the 67th anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima is today August 6. There was a live UStream broadcast from the World Peace Prayer Society on Sunday in the U.S. It actually took place at 8:10 am this morning in Hiroshima, but that turns out to be 6:10 pm the evening before (i.e. Sunday) in the Midwest U.S. To find out more about that and to watch several videos about Hiroshima, you can go to www.worldpeace.org.

There will be many such vigils and memorials in Japan and in the U.S., today, but most of them will not include animals in their prayers. It is up to this very special Prayer Circle for Animals to join in spirit with these vigils and make certain that the animals are memorialized and honored as well. Countless pet animals, animals confined and raised for food, and animals living in nature died that day as a result of the U.S. brutal attack. Millions more continue to die every day due to the war that still rages against them .
