Prayer Circle for Animals Weekly Update
November 26, 2012

Our prayers for all animals continue to circle the earth, to uplift humanity's consciousness, and to bless the animals themselves. Thank you for joining people around the world who are praying this prayer in many different languages but all with the same love:

"COMPASSION ENCIRCLES THE EARTH FOR ALL BEINGS EVERYWHERE"

There are so many creative people using their talents for animal liberation. A.P. Riggs is one of them She was one of the key speakers to the Topeka City Council and the Zoo Director as we fought to liberate Tembo and Sunda from the Topeka Kansas Zoo. Although we were unable to convince the City Council to do the right thing, the campaign will continue to raise consciousness about, not only elephants, but all animals who long to be free from human domination.

I wanted to share this lovely drawing and poem of hers with you. One never knows what form of expression will open the heart of someone to the plight of animals, but many times it is through a sweet song or poem or painting. I do believe so strongly that each of these creative expressions that come from the heart and speak of love find their permanent place in the energy field of love and compassion that encircles the earth. Each one contributes more power to the ever growing awareness among human beings that animals are our kin, our sacred brothers and sisters. We are not here to exploit them but rather to celebrate this miraculous world with them and create more love.

Through the Eyes of an Elephant

Oh to be able to wander free
Among majestic beings like me;
We're social, have friends and family.
We're smart, with emotions and empathy.
Spending my life in captivity,
I've entertained you and your family.
Now an elephant please let me be,
In a sanctuary in Tennessee.

Let me roam and let me choose my friends.
Let me live with my species until my days end.
I'll remember you, and you'll remember me,
As I roam through the lands of Tennessee.
Look closely into my eyes and you will see
The soul of a friend who longs to be free.

May all elephants be free and happy.
May all beings be happy. May all beings be free.

With Love, peace, and gratitude from Judy

Please visit the website www.circleofcompassion.org often to see updates and special prayers, and also to join in our "A prayer a day for animals" which features a prayer for a different group of animals each day of the week. It is also a place to send ideas or prayer requests.

Please forward this widely so that we may continue to add more people to our ever-expanding circle of compassion.
