Making a difference (no matter how small we think it might be) makes a difference in us
Researcher Dr. Steven Cole of UCLA concluded (from a human study) that “People whose happiness comes primarily from doing good for others, rather than from hedonistic self-satisfaction, show a much more favorable gene profile, with less inflammation and better antibody and antiviral activity.”
Good news on so many levels—our health, longevity, time, joy
This means that animal (indeed all) activists who give time, energy, money, and/or prayers for a cause and purpose beyond themselves, may be healthier and live longer than their more hedonistic fellow human beings. This gives us more time to do more good—fewer “sick days,” and more years of activist living. For animal activists, there are the additional benefits of a healthy vegan diet. Add to that the joy that comes from having a vision, a purpose, and a feeling of belonging to a community formed out of love for others, and that too increases our ability to stay the course for the animals who need us so desperately.
Giving thanks for our sense of purpose and sending freedom blessings to all
Is it grace that gives us our sense of purpose and desire to help others? Whatever it is, let us give thanks that we are here in this energy field of compassion together. Let us give thanks for the love that empowers us and gives us the strength to face the ongoing war against animals and find ways to make a difference. Let us give thanks for each other and for every single animal on earth, because they inspire us so completely with their beauty and their innocence and fill our hearts with awe and wonder. Most of all let us bless all animals with absolute freedom which is the truth waiting to be revealed.
Thank you for your faithful prayers and visionary thoughts. Thanks to all of you, compassion is encircling the earth for all beings. Thank you for your devotion to truth, love, liberation and peace for all beings.
With Love, peace, and gratitude from Judy, and Will, Madeleine, and the Circle of Compassion team.
