Greetings of love and gratitude from Judy Carman

The 32nd Annual Meat Out is Sunday March 20.  Thanks to the Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) the annual Meat Out (meatout.org) has been going and growing since 1985.  As FARM says, “activists around the world have celebrated March 20th, the first day of Spring, by sharing their love of vegan food as part of a huge international event called Meatout. Every year, Meatout introduces thousands of people to the benefits of a compassionate diet for achieving great health, helping the environment, and of course, saving animals.”  Meatout is one of the big reasons we have made so much progress for the animals.  It is one of the reasons nearly everyone has heard that beautiful word “vegan.”  This is another opportunity for action and prayer.  We can find many ideas for actions to take on meatout.org.  But as a prayer circle we can also add tremendous energy to support this year’s Meatout energetically and spiritually.
 
Prayers for the 32nd Annual Meat Out.  We give thanks for FARM’s brilliant vision of welcoming spring with the Meat Out; and for their persistence in steadily growing this event so that now there are events all over the world.  We give thanks for all the activists who have given their time and energy to educating people and offering them vegan food to sample.  It is such a beautiful way to invite the vegans-to-be to understand that we human beings really can weave compassion into everything we do; that we can live without harming animals.  This week, as the energy builds toward the Meat Out, as thousands of activists prepare food and make plans for their events, let us take time each day to sit quietly and picture millions of people lining up at thousands of  tables.  Let us see them enjoying the vegan food, reading the literature, checking out the posters, asking questions, and most of all awakening.  Let us feel our absolute joy and excitement as we see all these people opening up to love for all beings.  And may we know without any doubt that these focused thoughts of ours are embracing all these vegans-to-be with so much love energy that they cannot help but feel love for all the animals.  They cannot help but sense their own true nature and the longing that has always been in their hearts for the long-ago lost friendship with the animals.  Let us know that on March 20, the animals will feel the presence of thousands of new vegans on earth.  Namaste to all animals, all people.  Our spirits greet each other and know the truth.
