As Hiroshima Day—August 6—approaches, the energy field is building toward the vision known as “Never Again.” On that day in 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped by the U.S. on Hiroshima, Japan. A few days later another bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. Those two cities were destroyed. An estimated 200,000 civilians died. Many more perished later from injuries and disease caused by the bombings.
There will be vigils worldwide to commemorate these horrendous acts of violence against innocent families and to exclaim “Never Again.” Of course, as we know, the heartfelt and passionate mantra continues while the killing of innocent people and animals continues unabated. Yet the fact that the cry continues to reverberate throughout the world means that hope lives on and that people never stop longing for an end to war.
As animal liberators, we have a unique perspective. We know that as long as the violence and killing against animals continues, there can be no end to human wars. The mindset of domination and exploitation must be transformed into a worldview of compassion and nonviolence. Once that is established, once humanity finally sees the sacredness of all life, then wars against people and animals will cease.
So at this time, let us enter into this energy field of hope that humanity can and will manifest the “Never Again”—not just for people, but for all beings. Let us spend time these next few weeks holding in our hearts the pure and perfect wisdom that humanity can ascend in consciousness and finally become Homo Ahimsa—the gentle, kind, and loving beings we are in truth. The animals are longing for this too. May we feel their longing and entwine it together with the longing of people—creating a light of hope so bright that all life is illumined and lifted up by it.
Thank you for your faithful prayers and visionary thoughts. Thanks to all of you, compassion is encircling the earth for all beings. Thank you for your devotion to truth, love, liberation and peace for all beings.
