Prayer Circle for Animals Weekly Update from Judy Carman
March 9, 2015

Our prayers for all animals continue to circle the earth, to uplift humanity's consciousness, and to bless the animals themselves. Thank you for joining people around the world who are praying this prayer in many different languages but all with the same love:

"COMPASSION ENCIRCLES THE EARTH FOR ALL BEINGS EVERYWHERE"
Greetings of love and gratitude from Judy Carman

Feld Elephants Liberated at Last From Circus Suffering. If we could hear each other across the miles, we would all have heard a huge roar of applause, hallelujah’s, and dancing in the streets when the announcement came that Feld Entertainment, the parent company of the huge and barbaric Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus had agreed to liberate 43 elephants from its circus acts by 2018, according to the AP news. CEO Kenneth Feld was quoted as saying, “This decision was not easy, but it is in the best interest of our company, our elephants and our customers,” According to Feld, they will be “retired” to a Florida “sanctuary.” This “sanctuary” is mislabeled in that it is being developed as a breeding facility and zoos are definitely involved in its policies.  However, the Felds cited a “mood shift” among consumers and local legislation banning exotic animal acts and/or the use of bullhooks as reasons for their decision. The $270,000.00 settlement for violations of the Animal Welfare Act they had to pay may have influenced them as well.

Prayer for the Week—For Moods Shifting into High Gear.  We give ecstatic thanks and blessings to each other and to all those who have stood in the cold, heat, and rain at circuses, holding signs, handing out information, demonstrating what bullhooks look like, wearing elephant costumes, showing heart breaking videos, and never, never, never giving up.  We have had signs torn from our hands, leaflets thrown on the ground, endured rudeness and violence from angry circus goers, but it has paid off.  We shifted the mood enough.  You shifted the mood enough.  Human hearts can open to animals and their needs and their suffering.  We have been praying for this kind of progress for decades.  Action combined with Prayer (or focused thought) works.  Human consciousness is rising!  May we shed tears of joy and gratitude today, this week, and know so completely that we will stay the course; we will not stop here; we know what to do.

And let us also pray and visualize these 43 elephants, followed soon after by all the other circus and zoo elephants, finding only kindness, gentleness, respect, and love from their new caretakers.  We ask for strength to be ever-watchful for any signs of mistreatment in this new phase of non-circus living.  And while we keep watch over the elephants, let us pray powerfully for the liberation of all the other circus animals who continue to suffer horribly at the hands of their dominators.  We see them all finishing their final circus acts and traveling in comfort and safety to sanctuaries, true sanctuaries.  We see all the circuses in the world now transforming into spectacular, entertaining shows in which only willing and able human beings perform.  The mood has shifted, and it is shifting in the direction of a world at peace for all beings.

As always, with tears of gratitude, I send my thanks to each of you, dear Prayer Circle members, for joining this circle of compassion and shining the Light of Truth for all to see, so that one day soon, all beings will live in peace together.

May compassion and love reign over all the earth for all beings everywhere.
Thank you all for your devotion to truth, love, liberation and peace for all beings.
With Love, peace, and gratitude from Judy Carman, and greetings from Will, Madeleine, Tara and the Circle of Compassion team
