Greetings of love and gratitude from
Judy Carman
We know that animals need help, but
sometimes we need emotional support to keep helping them. With
that in mind, In Defense of Animals (IDA) has launched their
Sustainable Activism Helpline. A short youtube
https://youtu.be/7AjJ6DurXxU announces this affirming and empowering
new resource and explains how we can reach the free confidential
counseling service either by email
(helpline@idausa.org) or by phone
(800-705-0425). As we all know, the work of being an activist can
be very stressful. Bearing witness to unimaginable atrocities and often
experiencing rejection or harsh criticism from family, friends, and
others can cause burnout and a feeling of futility. Our vision of
a world free of violence toward all beings can seem so far away at
times, and many people tell us it is unreachable. On top of that we
know it is important that we demonstrate to the world that the vegan
life is a joyful life, but sometimes that joy escapes us.
This week’s prayer is for animal
activists who are struggling. This week we give thanks for In
Defense of Animals and for their wisdom in developing the Sustainable
Activist Helpline. From our spirits we send out deep gratitude to
all people who have answered the call to be a voice for the animals,
and that includes each one of us. Joy and grief go hand in hand
in this work. We face ongoing violence daily and yet our
awakening to our oneness with all life brings more joy than ever
before. In our prayers and focused thoughts this week, we reach
out to all animal activists and ourselves with compassion and
care. We see each one of us who may right now need emotional or
spiritual support receiving that support. We see each one finding
the counselor he or she needs at the
IDA Helpline or with a trusted
friend or professional. We see every activist taking time to
learn the signs of burnout and stress and to rest and recharge when
necessary. The animals need us. They cannot afford to lose
even one of us. Together we join ourselves with Divine Intelligence and
Love. Although the road is long, there are many lovely spots to camp
and rest along the way, and the animals are with us every step of the
way.
As always, with tears of gratitude, I send my thanks to each of you,
dear Prayer Circle members, for joining this circle of compassion and
shining the Light of Truth for all to see, so that one day soon, all
beings will live in peace together.
May compassion and love reign over all the earth for all beings
everywhere.
Thank you all for your devotion to truth, love, liberation and peace
for all beings.
With Love, peace, and gratitude from Judy Carman, and greetings from
