Great News for Animals from the Sierra
Club: Although in the documentary “Cowspiracy,” Sierra Club
representatives seemed to dismiss the importance of animal
agriculture’s horrific impact on the environment, the Sierra Ag and
Food Policy now states, “Diet: Personal dietary choices that minimize
or eliminate meat and animal products should be encouraged, due to
their many benefits, including reducing greenhouse gas impacts, water
pollution and inhumane treatment of animals.” For a group that
includes many ranchers and hunters, this is monumental.

Our Prayer/Intention for the Week: Gratitude
for Sierra’s Declaration and Envisioning all Environmental Groups
Rallying their Members as well. From deep within our souls, we
give thanks that the Sierra Club has taken this bold step. We
hold the vision during this celebratory week of every environmental
group in the world asking all their members to see the wisdom of
eliminating all animal products from their diet in order to heal the
earth from the ravages of animal agriculture and to end the violence to
the animals. Let us also envision each member of these groups
finally seeing the necessity of not only adopting a plant-based diet,
but also beginning to learn the true meaning of veganism and
ahimsa. May all animals everywhere sense the progress that is
being made in human hearts as we move ever closer to freedom and joy
for all beings everywhere.
As always, with tears of gratitude, I send my thanks to each of you,
dear Prayer Circle members, for joining this circle of compassion and
shining the Light of Truth for all to see, so that one day soon, all
beings will live in peace together.
May compassion and love reign over all the earth for all beings
everywhere.
